TITANIC 100 YR ANNIVERSARY

This is a project I took on to honour of the 100 year anniversary of the RMS Titanic sinking. The Titanic has always been of particular interest to me. My fascination with the naval disaster, the stories and the people have echoed in my mind since childhood. I decided to honour the anniversary by recreating several of the original posters and advertising for the maiden voyage of the vessel. To fill out the project I created a few original pieces incorporating quotations from passengers and crew surviving the disaster. It has been said that the sinking of the Titanic was the beginning of the end to the class system, and the day the modern day world awoke. It will continue to haunt history and our imaginations for years to come.
